Central Location Test (CLT)

Research is conducted in a controlled environment to minimize potential biases and extraneous variables. Our research team carefully administers every test to ensure all protocols and regulatory standards are followed to the letter.

  • At our dedicated ProSense facility in Tucson, Arizona
  • Off-site testing available - hotels, churches, community centers, malls, farmer's markets, etc.
  • Multi-locational testing available

Great for taste tests, product use testing, personal care evaluations, fragrance testing, package functionality, and other sensory applications.

Remote Location Test (TM)

There are times when in-person testing is challenging or impractical for sensory and consumer research. ProSense Consumer Research Center and Waggle Dance Marketing Research collaboratively developed and validated an alternative method to some central location testing.

Home Use Test (HUT)

Home Use Tests allow participants to evaluate products under their more natural usage conditions, such as in the home. These tests typically give consumers an extended opportunity to interact with the product, often ranging from days to several weeks.

Products can be placed via several options:
  • In-person pickup at our facility
  • Drive-thru or curbside pickup at ProSense
  • Shipped to respondents
  • Drop-off at an off-site location - for specialized testing needs (ex: assisted living facilities)

Qualitative Research

Qualitative research involves collecting and interpreting non-numerical data. These methods provides deep, rich information about peoples' experiences, motivations, and perspectives.
Can be conducted in-person at our ProSense facility, off-site, and online:
  • Focus groups
  • In-Depth Interviews
  • Dyads/Triads
  • Shopalongs & ethnographic studies
  • Observational/Unobtrusive research

Descriptive Analysis

Descriptive techniques use quantitative data collected by trained or untrained panels to describe similarities and differences among products.

Trained descriptive analysis panels - experienced ProSense panel leaders ensure all panel members are adequately selected, trained, and calibrated.
Rapid profiling methods - flash profiling, napping

  • Survey research - online or on-site
  • Biometrics - eye-tracking, emotional response, EEG
  • Field research - at your specified premises
  • Design of experiments
  • Scenario-based studies
  • Immersive environment studies
For even more powerful insights, speak with one of our research experts about hybrid/multi-method tests.
